Statement of Faith
We are a non-denominational faith-based blog dedicated to Discerning Diversity in Christian Doctrine and fostering unity through wisdom and grace.
Statement of Faith
This Statement of Faith does not exhaust the extent of our beliefs but highlights the core tenets of our convictions.
Wisdom - Unity - Grace
We believe in God, the Father almighty (Isaiah 44:6; 45:5), Creator of heaven and earth (Genesis 1:1; John 1:1-3; Acts 14:15).

We believe that one true God exists eternally in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit and that these, being one God, are equal in deity, power, and glory. We believe the Trinity is without division of nature, essence, or being (1 John 5:7; Matthew 3:16-17; 2 Corinthians 13:14).

We believe that Jesus Christ is God the Son, the second person of the Trinity. Jesus Christ is 100% man and 100% God. He is the only man ever to have lived a sinless life (John 1:1-14, 20:28; 1 Timothy 3:16; Isaiah 9:6; Philippians 2:5-6; 1 Timothy 2:5).

Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of the Father, conceived by the Holy Spirit in the Virgin Mary (Matthew 1:18, 20, 23; Luke 1:27; Romans 5:12-21). We believe He rose from the dead after three days, ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of the Father, interceding for His people (Revelation 3:21; Matthew 22:44; Acts 2:33). We believe in his triumphant return to the earth according to His promise (Isaiah 9:6; Matthew 1:18-25; John 1:14; Hebrews 10:9; John 1:29; I John 2:1-2; John 14:3; I Thessalonians 4:15-17; Acts 1:11).

We believe in the Holy Spirit, living in every Christian from the moment of salvation and belief in Christ, providing Christians with power, gifts for living, understanding spiritual truth, and guidance for life, our daily helper, teacher, and guide (John 15:26, 16:8-11; Romans 6:3-6; I Corinthians 12:13; II Thessalonians 2:13; I Peter 1:1-3).

We believe the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are fully inspired by God and written by human authors under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit. We believe God's Word was written to all mankind with authority as the supreme source of truth for Christian beliefs and living and that All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness (2 Tim 3:15).

We believe that Jesus is the Living word of God and the chief hermeneutic for which we understand the scriptures (John 1:1, Heb 4:12). We support varying convictions within the church, provided they are derived through scripture (Romans 14:2-3). We believe it is vital that God's people be joined by mutual love for Christ and full submission to His Lordship, but not uniformity or agreement on all doctrinal issues. We allow for and value diversity. We see it as an essential element of true unity. We honor the Apostle Paul's instruction to avoid foolish arguments that produce quarrels (II Tim. 2:23).
We believe humanity was created in the image of God for a personal relationship with God. We believe when sin entered human existence (Genesis 1:27, 2:15-17), mankind was marred by a condition of disobedience toward God, separating us from God.

We believe through the ultimate sacrifice of God’s Son, Jesus, all who believe in Him are now fully accepted, forgiven, and free from bondage to sin and separation from God because of Christ’s ultimate sacrifice for all mankind, made complete on the cross (Romans 3:10-12, 23; Matthew 25:46; 2 Corinthians 3:17; John 8:36, Galatians 5:13-14; Galatians 3:22; Ephesians 3:12; Galatians 5:1; Acts 13:38-39; John 3:16).

We believe that all who receive, by faith, Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord and repent of their sins are born again of the Holy Spirit, becoming children of God and heirs of His Kingdom (Mark 1:15). Salvation through faith means a person is declared completely righteous in the sight of God by grace alone, through faith in Jesus (John 1:12, Romans 3:21-26, Ephesians 1:13, 2:8-10). We believe that eternal life is the free and gracious gift of God, made possible by the redeeming bloodshed in the death of Christ on the cross and that faith in the finished work of Christ at Calvary is the only means of salvation (John 3:16, 10:28, 17:2-3, Eph 1:7, Heb 9:22).

We believe in the universal Church as the body and bride of Christ (Gal 3:26-29). We believe in the church as a living, spiritual body in which Christ is the Head and all believers in Jesus are members (1 Cor 12:27). We believe the purpose of the church is to lead believers toward maturity through the Word of God, fellowship and community, prayer, worship, communion, baptism, and the proclamation of the Gospel (Good News of the Kingdom of God) to the world. We believe in the unity of the Church (as described in Ephesians 4:3-6), apart from a denomination, and make every effort to remain united in Spirit through love and peace as we exalt the spiritual gifts of others (Romans 12:6-8, 1 Corinthians 12:8-10).
